How I Survive Cancer

I survive with the help of a wonderful medical team, and a great family.

I was one of the lucky ones whose diagnosis took only a few days thanks to the diligence of my primary care Doctor.  My primary care Doctor also collaborated with a liver transplant surgeon who did two separate liver resections. With the two resections they removed 22 tumors from my liver as well as patched my vena cavea.

Currently I am tumor and symptom free, after being told in January that I was inoperable.

How I Fight for a Cure

My goal is to become more active in this area.

My Caring Words of Encouragement

Knowledge is power.

With considerable help from my primary care physician I was able to find a surgeon whose specialty is liver transplant and surgery.  My two Doctors came up with an aggressive approach to my situation.  This approach fit my personality and needs.  I encourage all to find the approach that works best for them.

I feel great, and know that many others can do well too.
